10: Backend reorg + music page

• I have a lot of webpages & images now, so I organized them into folders. This is slightly terrifying, because if you don't update all the links correctly your page links will break. But I think I succeeded.
• Created a music page that links from the piano in the studio!! Got it to a passable place, at least for the literal first few hours it has existed. SO excited about this one.
• Also created a link to my podcast, also from the studio. Excited to do even more with the studio soon!

9: Simple portfolio

• Created a really simple portfolio page for my writing, audio & video projects
• Added in news writing & podcast so far
• Linked portfolio to CV so it's findable! Now people have a way to navigate from my professional bio to samples of my work!

8: MASSIVE mobile-friendly overhaul

• Fixed DNS settings because site wasn't working
• Added another game to arcade console
• Changed fonts because Courier New is more retro than Georgia.
• Absolutely overhauled the home page, garden, entryway, & creative workshop to make them mobile friendly. HOURS on this! SO many little changes that added up to things looking the same on both sites. I learned so, so much. Wow. Other pages still not there yet.
• Also played with adding some pop-ups and sparkles to home page to give visitors more direction!
• Did a complete redesign of the garden--new background image, added 3 of my favorite plants, added some sparkles and set the scene for a future Meditation Room page...

This was my biggest day of changes and I'm very happy I'm figuring out how to make the site work on people's phones. Looking forward to adding more of my own work onto here--after all, it's a digital garden!--very soon.

7: Custom domain!!

• Officially linked this site to my alishaaf.com domain so people can find it
• Learned why it's breaking on mobile and some steps to fix (not doing it today though)

6: Work History

• Made a "CV" page with my work history and a space to put in my recent projects. I'm turning more and more legit by the day.
• Linked that to entryway, so it's where you go when you click into my "Office" for now

5: Gamez, links, boxes

• Made the entryway arcade game functional - each time you click, it takes you to a different random web game I like
• Worked some on the copy that will be in my office eventually
• Linked to the creative workshop...now all three doorways in the entryway link to rooms!! (technically. The office is still a blank page!)
• Put a cute little text box on the library page.
• Stuck a really simple guestbook in my site that doesn't match anything and looks like a sore thumb but I don't care, I'm a *beginner*

4: Made new rooms

• Made a dark and mysterious hallway beyond which more mysterious rooms will lie (that don't exist yet)
• Created a cool dark library coming off of the hallway
• Spent a million years making a very full creative workshop that will house some cool links in the future...

3: Started on my office

• Created a link + hover to where my office will be (it will house my resume & professional background info) and created a blank webpage for it
• Brought in arcade game image to add games into site in future :)

2: Added images/clickable elements to the site!

• Played around with dithering; added dithered fern, table, guestbook and newspaper images to Entryway page. Added effects to guestbook and newspaper images
• Created web log page (you're on it!) and linked to Entryway page thru newspaper image

1: Started the site!

• Learned basic HTML and CSS
• Made homepage (index) with house, created The Studio sign & stuck it in there. Added button for sign as well as links to Garden and Door
• Made Entryway page and linked it to Index thru door :) Played around with the look of the entryway for a while (still empty at this point)
• Made Garden page, linked it to Index, and threw an image in there as a placeholder
• Added back button to Garden and Entryway pages
