2025–present
Storytelling (LinkedIn, Substack, website & general pitch) for an inspiring privacy-focused AI startup, positioning it for near-term licensing.
2024
Outbound sales for Levitate, a SaaS startup helping nonprofit executives build deeper connections with donors. Hit or exceeded sales quota every month.
2022–23
Executive assistant + project manager for NC State's Chief Diversity Officer. Helped design & implement bold 3-year strategic plan as well as key projects such as a campus DEI leaders network; drafted public communications; bottom-lined and edited important documents including the yearly diversity Annual Report and a yearly diversity outcomes report for the Provost.
2021–22
Antiracism consultant for a 600-member DSA chapter. Conducted an in-depth audit on conflict culture and high attrition and proposed evidence-based changes. Secured unanimous buy-in through monthly talks and community-building; dozens of 1:1 conversations; continuous feedback integration; two transformative org-wide discussions.
2018–2020
Nonprofit program manager. Launched and ran a trailblazing $550K project that supported over 300 unhoused people to attain housing, income, and other life goals by nurturing a culture of deep care, individual attention, and community support.
We all need community around us who believes in us when we lose faith, and that's my biggest takeaway from this job. See people, listen to their stories, build a relationship, and help in little ways so that they can start to trust again that life can be good — that they do have the power to reach their goals.
2018
Partnered with a B-corp CTO to build a web tool that helped 30,000 people create personalized plans for engaging the 2018 midterm elections.
2016–17
Supportive employment supervisor hiring, training, and coaching participants for an innovative job-training program that employed formerly homeless and incarcerated employees as front desk clerks. Handled clerk scheduling across 54 affordable housing sites.
2015–16
Product + customer service for a reuse startup launching a pioneering used-goods donation product concept. Built an SMS chatbot prototype for the service and sent the executive team weekly user feedback reports after noticing that top user issues and requests weren't regularly reaching them. Also ran a Facebook ad campaign that performed pretty well.
2014–2015
Reporter for the Rochester, NY Democrat and Chronicle and the Nashville Tennessean, each with over 500K Sunday paper readers. Published 4–5 articles per week (see portfolio for samples).
2011
Intern ("Short Term Consultant") at the World Bank. Taught myself Stata, analyzed data, and wrote a report on migration patterns in and out of Nepal for Michael Lokshin, Lead Economist in the Europe and Central Asia (ECA) Region.
